Pastors' Lunch

We hosted a pastors lunch this Friday (Oct. 2) where we shared our heart with 10 local pastors from San Andres and Canilla. Everyone was in agreement that there is a lot of need for food, and offered several ideas and confirmations to things we were already thinking. What we are asking of the churches is that they help in the collection of beans, rice, granola, and other foods, and that they help identify the families in their communities who have the most need. Overall there were a lot of good words that will hopefully be followed in action! We will all meet again in two weeks to review each pastor's starting list of families in need. This Monday (Oct. 4th), Duane and Leslie plan to meet with the mayors of the towns to get the ball rolling with our community assessment. With their approval of our plans, we will be able to freely enter and visit families of the villages!
